Alien 9 and its similarities to Religion (Interpretation)

 You might be like, "Huh?! What the hell are you even thinking Dovangel?!?!" I know I know, it seems a bit far fetched (even for me), but that doesn't make it less interesting. Inspired by Shin Megami Tensei and reading the original manga and its sequel (not including NEXT), I think there are some symbolism that Alien 9 have, more specifically in a Christian perspective.

For the Drill Clan Borgs, they have that frog-like appearance with angel wings that have drills sticking out; they protect their hosts from any kind of danger (with Yuri being a great example) and at least treat their hosts with respect and wait for them to be fully prepared for the symbiotic transformation. Does it remind you of something? Well, they're like guardian angels, of course; they guard humans from some kind of danger (except for the human symbiotic transformation, they don't do that like the Drill Clan).

Another example which relates Christianity to Alien 9 are the Sunflower Clan. They have the appearance of a sunflower, using bees as the their main method of attacking. They're a foil of the Drill Clan, having no patience with their hosts to be strong enough to do the symbiotic transformation and harming those in the process if they do the symbiotic transformation with no proper preparation. They are cunning and deceitful, giving hallucinations to those wearing them (like what they did to Yuri through the strange dreams of her slowly becoming like them). They are, in a sense, like demons/the Devil; harming and tormenting the humans they're possessing and for the case of the Devil, lulling others into his lies and do sins against God.

One another factor about this idea is that the need of taking over the world by different means; the Drill Clan tend to be more patient with their hosts and let them grow to be suitable for the transformation, while the Sunflower wants to their hosts to have the transformation immediately (even if it means killing the host in the process): kind of reminds me of how religion is spread in general.

So in that sense, the Drill Clan are like Christianity with the angelic wings and guardian angel motif, while the the Sunflower Clan are like occultist religions or Satanism, with the promising things that are false and the forceful possession.

It seems I've said what needs to be told. Truth to be told, it's really interesting how Hitoshi Tomizawa lets people to have their own interpretation of the manga, basically a way to expand the world of Alien 9, it's cool of him to do that. Why People Hate 4chan of the Same Sins that Other Social Media Has?

 It's really an interesting phenomenon to be honest. People hate 4chan, it could be because of the users' toxic behavior there, the lax moderation which lets people post the most disgusting and vile content in the boards, and the association of the political far-right members in the States. While those negative aspects are understandable and even justified, it's really strange that people give ire to 4chan when almost all social media has the same issue as 4chan. Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Tumblr, etc. will have users who are horrible people and ruin the lives of others just because they can. They have to potential to post disgusting and wicked posts, be cruel to others and destroy someone's else life just because.

Yes, I know that they have some sense of "moderation", but it is just as lax (or more accurately, used unjustly), if even more than 4chan; because at least 4chan don't make most of the rules and the only kind of rules it's enforced in the imageboard is don't post illegal stuff in it, that's it! Things like YouTube? Oh, they could destroy the whole income of some popular YouTuber because he said a no-no word, while turning blind eye to actual pornography that are posted in the website through some loophole these devils use. So, to say that 4chan is the cesspit of toxicity of the internet is naïve, because social media have that issue as well, even if the rules are established and enforced on their websites and apps. So in reality, it's us humans who would harm each other by any means possible, even with strict rules that are enforced to us.

Never 7 is getting a Steam release!!

 To say I am just surprised will be an understatement!! I am genuinely excited of seeing Never7 (Bundled in with Ever17) being finally getting a global release after years of waiting. I am blessed today to be born in this time period, not worrying how long a visual novel will get a global release. I am thankful for what's happening right now and thankful for MAGES. Inc. (the developers) and Spike Chunsoft (the publisher) for giving us the ability to read them officially.

Now... I've to complete reading Yuka route before the release of the remaster....

Kumi Kawamura, and the Pains of Dealing of Responsibility.

 Hello everyone.

I've read Alien 9 around last month on Saturday (reading and completing it on the same day), and the story is interesting and really dark, like it made me have one-day gloominess after I finished reading it. But I'm not here to talk about the manga itself. Instead, I'm going to talk about one of the main characters in the manga; Kumi Kawamura.

She's a lot more cool head and efficient than Yuri Otani; who hates aliens and cries a lot. She knows what to do, and do them like a professional. But beneath her serious, cool and efficient personality is a girl who was given a lot of responsibilities to deal with. From helping her widowed mother with her job, to being a president of the class since 1st Grade. That's why she snapped at Yuri at the beginning of Chapter 2. She was already sick of being the one relied one every single time an issue pops up, that nobody is trying to handle it by themselves. It put a strain on her patience, and even though snapping at Yuri was plain rude (and in Yuri's perspective, it was out of nowhere), you understand how Kumi felt. She's sick of being people's crutch when shit hit the fan, why not say "No" at this moment? She's human too, and she have her limits with giving her energy to help someone.

You know to be more personal, I kind of relate to her; because I've to deal with insane amount of work to deal with, from housework to other aspects of life. It can make me go mad at times as I've to deal with the burden all the time and I wish of a moment in my life where everyone shuts up and let me relax for a bit. Even though Kasumi Tomine is my favorite character in the manga (and she is the best, don't DM me), I can at least understand how a pain in the ass it can be having to many responsibilities on your shoulders. I'm even more surprised how she didn't lose her sanity, because I know I did when people rely on me too much.

The "Real You" concept is dumb and egotistical

The idea of a "Real You" is such a bullcrap idea. We don't even know who we actually are in a way deeper, spiritual level. It just sounds so egotistical and prideful. "oH, I sHoUlD fInD mY rEaL mE!!!" Oh please... Don't you even DARE say that to my face dude.

No hate for those who actually believe on this, I just think it is just foolishness to think like that in my honest opinion.

2 months....

It has been almost 2 months since I have made a new post, huh? I mean, writing is just as simple as breathing in, right? Not really... Because I also have a life, even though it is mundane.

Also, about Higurashi... I am still stuck in Chapter 3 of the Watanagashi Chapter... (￣ヘ￣) Hella lazy right now.

BUT...! Now I am kinda interested in Devil May Cry series, which is funny because I hate Shin Megami Tensei, but at least DMC isn't full on blasphemous like SMT, so here's that.

Microsoft Windows had an Outage LMBOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

 I was on YouTube TV when suddenly the popular search results popped up, which includes the topic I like to talk about; Microsoft Outage. It just happened around few hours ago and during that time, my laptop was (and still is) on running*. The fact it happened at the worst time possible (being around early morning in Eastern parts of America), with people needing Windows for their occupation is just soooooo comedic, that it just makes me want to jump into Linux Mint one day or another, because that's pathetic form Microsoft. I think ever since Windows 8 released, Microsoft is going down into a downward spiral of failures after failures; putting things that will brings us MORE trouble than needed. Now this?! Man.... people have Windows for work, they need it: yet, Microsoft never stops from breaking their arms...

*: I don't know it didn't happen to my laptop, maybe it didn't have the update that caused the outage, or I don't have Windows 11. Still crazy that my laptop survived from this crazy event.
